I saw your picture and wondered where it was taken. Wikipedia is generally good about listing historical buildings.
Wikipedia lists multiple buildings called the "papal palace." I looked at pictures Wikipedia had for each of the palace. I thought it looked most like the one in Avignon which they described as Gothic.
My second guess is the "Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo" in Rome followed by "Palazzo dei Papi di Viterbo." The Papal Palace in Orvieto looks too small and boxy.
If this picture is not the palace in Avignon. Where is it from?
Avignon, France. This picture was taken by my friend during the visit. I was amazed by the architectural design. French are really great architects indeed. Do you travel a lot? You are so fortunate to have visited all the Papal palace you mentioned.
