Let's Go!

Step 1: Register Your Account

Create a Hive Account

  • Get a Hive Account: https://signup.hive.io/
  • This one is my favorite free way to get a Hive account: https://inleo.io/signup
  • Be sure you keep a secure copy of your keys.
  • Once you get your Hive Account, I recommend adding a Hive extension to your browser (only works on PC/MAC - not mobile).

Register for an Innvenium Account

Log into Moon Karts

Grant Permissions to Gain Access

  • Click on race now
  • Grant Permissions, and confirm your choice in Hive.
  • Claim your free auto vault
  • And you have access to the game.

Step 2: Gear Up!

Supplies I Need to Race

Setting Up Your Driver and Kart

  • Go to Presets on your Dashboard. You can set up 4 presets.
  • Click on the preset number you want to create or edit
  • Hit the plus sign to add any element.
  • Then click on the card you want to add
  • Click it again
  • Hit equip
  • You can use the same process to unequip or swap elements
  • Add a driver and kart. You need these 2 to race.
  • If you want to add more gear, tech cards or powerups, you can do that too.
  • Once you are done, be sure to save your presets. You can return to this screen and change, edit, or upgrade your kart.

Step 3: Get Fuel

  • Fuel is the lifeblood of racing. Your kart maybe ready to race, but if you want to earn rewards, you need to race with fuel.
  • All cards, drivers, gear, and power-ups consume fuel. If you look at each card, you will see how much fuel it consumes. Common cards consume less fuel, Legendary cards consume more fuel. Regular foil cards consume less fuel than gold foil cards. Common regular foil cards consume the least amount of fuel, and Legendary Gold Foil cards consume the most fuel. There are also differences in fuel consumption between each game element. The amount of fuel your kart consumes each race is the sum total of all the cards you are using. Combined cards multiply your fuel usage for that card. The faster you want to go, the more fuel you need to use.
  • If you race without fuel you cannot earn rewards.

So you want fuel. There are 2 ways to get fuel:
(1) You can purchase fuel from players. You can contact players directly to purchase fuel, or you can post on Arcade Colony Discord to request to buy fuel. Players can transfer fuel to one another. Use the fuel transfer button in the game.
(2) You can stake cards to earn fuel. Go to the Auto Vault in game. Each card you stake earns the amount of fuel listed on the card. Combined cards multiply your fuel earnings for that card. Staked cards earn fuel over the course of 24hrs; if you stake a card that earns 10 fuel, it will earn you 10 fuel over the course of 24 hours. See below to learn how to stake cards and earn fuel.

Step 4: Play to Earn!

This is a play to earn game, so let's learn how to earn.

Staking Rewards

  • Staking Colony in-game earns you more in-race rewards and more leaderboard rewards. You can stake colony here: https://arcadecolony.com/token/colony. Staking Colony only earns you in-game rewards when you race. You have to race to earn rewards on your staked colony.
  • Staking cards earns you fuel. To stake cards, go to the Auto Vault tab in game. Select Stake, select the card you want to stake, and stake the card. You will need 2 Script to stake 1 card; each card staking slot costs 2 Script to purchase. Once you purchase that staking slot, it never goes away.
  • You can purchase Script in game or on Hive. You can purchase Script here: https://arcadecolony.com/token/script or here https://hive-engine.com/trade/SCRIPT
  • Unstaking cards works the same way, as staking. Click on the Auto Vault, then click on unstake, select the card, and unstake the card. You do not get back your Script once you unstake the card, but you can stake another card in that slot.

In-Game Rewards

  • Driving in races is the only want to earn rewards. In a 2 player match, 1st and 2nd both earn rewards. In a 3 or 4 player match, getting 3rd or 4th means no rewards. If there are 5 racers, you can earn for places 1, 2 and 3. 1st place always gets more rewards.
  • Orbitals - If you collect orbitals (small blue orbs) in game, you can earn orbital leaderboard points. You can see the orbitals leaderboard in game along with your projected rewards. You must get at least 3 orbitals in a race to qualify for leaderboard rewards. But watch out, people can shoot you in race and you can lose orbitals.
  • Colony (COL token): Any Colony collected on the track (small blue/purple gear/crosses) will earn you COL token at the end of the match, as long as you place high enough. COL rewards are based on the amount of COL you have staked in the game.
  • Season Leaderboard: Every 8 days, the top leaderboard places earn COL. There is a leaderboard for Orbitals and Ranked play. You earn orbitals by collecting them in a race. You need at least 3 and to place. For the ranked leaderboard, you need to place in your race. Each time you place, you get ranking points. You can see the ranks and projected rewards on the leaderboard in game.

Step 5: Let's Race!

Ready to Race

  • You are ready to race! You can do a solo race, or a multiplayer race.
  • Solo races do not consume fuel and do not earn rewards.
  • Multiplayer races do consume races and qualify you for in-game rewards
  • To race click on Multiplayer or Solo in the lower right hand corner of the dashboard.
  • If it is a solo race, wait for the race to load and race.
  • If it is a multiplayer game you will need to wait for other players to join the game. If no one else arrives, you can close out the match without penalty. Once another player joins the match, wait for the race to load and race.
  • You can adjust your control settings. Click on the gears in the upper right corner. There you will have options to set-up keybinds.

Top 10 Racing Tips

So you want to be a better racer? Here are some pro tips!

  1. Practice, practice, practice. The more you race, the better you will be, and the faster you can go.
  2. Get a faster kart. I know this sounds obvious, but faster karts earn more wins, which means more rating points.
  3. Play more games. The more you play, the higher your rating, and the more COL you can win.
  4. Get friends to join you. It is way more fun to race with friends. If you do not know anyone, head over to Arcade Colony Discord and meet some new racers.
  5. Hold down the accelerator while the timer counts down to start the race; you get a boost when the race starts.
  6. Thrust is a powerful power-up that you can use multiple times in a race to get a boost. It can help your slower kart catch up and pass faster racers.
  7. Check your cards. Not every rare card is better than a common card. Study the stats, and compare them. Some drivers are better than others, and some rare karts are better than epic karts. So choose wisely.
  8. You can climb the leaderboard with a slower kart. Your kart needs to be fast enough to place high enough to get rewards. A balanced kart with less fuel may earn you more rewards because you can race more times. So consider your fuel-to-speed ratio.
  9. Finish your race. You cannot get rewards if you do not finish the race. I realize it can be hard to lose a race, but each failure is practice toward your next win.
  10. Have fun. Yes this is a play to earn game, but if you are not having fun, are the earnings worth it. Probably, but fun money is better than hard money! Enjoy the game!
