Aragon ICO opened 17 May 2017 at around 6:30pm GMT. The crowdsale which was scheduled to run for 30 days, or until the cap was reached, closed in about 30 minutes.
For this crowdsale only ethereum was accepted. Transactions from exchanges were not accepted and so an ether wallet is a must. I went ahead and used myetherwallet for this.
Aragon had made available the information on receiving address and block number for the ico yesterday, giving out a reminder also not to send any ether prior to the block mine completion.
There seemed to have been a minor glitch on the first 5 minutes of the crowdsale as some transactions appeared to have been rejected. I and my other two colleagues, with whom I did the countdown with, experienced the same thing. We were amazed at first when the sale appeared to have been closed in seconds.
It re-opened after a few minutes and we were able to send in some ether.
The cap of 275 000 ether, which was revealed minutes before the ico start, has been reached though within minutes.
wow that's really fast... Totally missed on that ;) hope your investment pays out ;)
@reconnectnature I hope so too! =^_^=
Heh, I'd not seen this one before. After taking a glimpse at the website it looks interesting. I'll have to look over the whitepaper to fill in some details.
Thanks for sharing this :)
Welcome @sykochica! For ongoing and upcoming ico my go-to is tokenmarket.net. I review the projects and set alarms for the ones I like. This particular one was launched at 2:30AM our time. Yep, 2:30AM. Our countdown eeriely had a new year's eve feels lol
Thank you! I've got that site bookmarked to look it over and set some alarms. Hopefully not at 230 am though...but I'm sure having the new years eve gear at hand helps make it fun. lol
Haha for the next ico countdown I'd have drinks and party hats ready. Lol
30 mins? that's got to be the shortest amount of time I've seen for a crowd-sale, what could be the cause, i certainly don't think the cap was reached that quickly.
Possible in my opinion, as Aragon ICO gained a strong public interest. In tokenmarket.net, the ico had about 4 times the number of the usual subscribers of other ico. I'll await the official comms from Aragon and will update the post as needed.
Update. It was closed in 15 minutes =^_^=
On May 17, 2017, disintermediation platform Aragon announced it closed an ICO in less than 15 minutes, raking in $25,000,000 in Ether (ETH) from 2,403 investors in exchange for ANT tokens, and making it the fourth highest crowdsale ever.

I think so too. Still waiting for official comms from aragon team to confirm

I feel quite lucky participating in the ICO!
Same here! Did you experience the same 'system glitch' where at first system does not allow us to go through?
I used metamask and my transactions where not going through at first. But luckily I managed to get some.
