I had a brainwave, and thought I'd share it with people here and see what you think.

I'm not really a Reddit user, but Reddit has a lot of similarities to Hive. It has a huge amount of readers, writers, and tons of communities which mirror what we have here on Hive.

I was floating around a r/writing, and saw a community post there, where we can share our work to gain some hints and tips. I went for it and shared a short story I wrote a few months ago; the link of which drew people back to Ecency.

Someone read it, and commented on it - not about Hive, but about the story. I'm thinking that if we all looked for communities on Reddit, that allow for this kind of sharing, we could all do it. The person who read mine, may not join Hive, but they've seen it now, and who knows, maybe they'll look a little more into it.

There are a lot of communities there, so if we all found some to share some links to it could potentially get some eyeballs on Hive, without it being an advertisement. It has to be done subtly, so no saying, "I wrote this on Hive, you should join." Let them decide once they follow the link back to it.
