Hoy les contaré el final de mi maravillosa experiencia en Rusia con la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela. La llegada a San Petersburgo, donde interpretamos nuestro último y más importante concierto. Pueden ver la primera parte AQUÍ

Today I am going to talk about the end of my amazing experience in Russia with Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. The arrived to St. Petersburg, where we performed our last and most important concert. You can see the first part HERE

Luego de nuestro exitoso concierto en Moscú, el trabajo no se acababa, ya que al otro día temprano teníamos que tomar un tren a San Petersburgo. Fueron 4 horas de viaje, ya que era un tren que iba más rápido porque teníamos que llegar directo a ensayar porque ese mismo día era el concierto. Y por supuesto, estaba tan cansada que dormí casi todo el viaje, pero grabé un poco del camino.

After a successful performance in Moscow, the work was not over, because the next day very early we had to take the train to St. Petersburg. It was a 4 hour trip, since this train was faster because we had to go directly to rehearse because the concert was the same day. And of course, I was so tired that I slept almost the whole trip, but I took a little video on my way.

Llegamos, hicimos el check-in de la habitación para dejar las maletas, comimos rápidamente, y nos fuimos para el Teatro Mariisnky a hacer la prueba de sonido para nuestro concierto de esa noche. El Teatro Mariinsky es uno de los teatros más famosos y antiguos del mundo, es por eso que estábamos tan ansiosos por dar lo mejor.

We arrived, we did the room check in to leave the suitcases there, we ate quickly, and we went to the Mariinsky Theatre to do the sound check to our concert that night. The Mariinsky Theatre is one of the oldest and famous theatres of the world, that is why we were so anxious to do our best.

La obra con la que cerrábamos el concierto era la 5ta Sinfonía de P.I Tchaikovsky, ¿y qué creen? justo en ese mismo teatro se había estrenado esa obra en 1888 y el mismísimo Tchaikovsky la dirigió, quien ha sido uno de los compositores más reconocidos de la historia, y era ruso, por lo tanto el público sabía muy bien qué estábamos interpretando.

The work with which we closed the concert was the 5th Symphony of P.I Tchaikovsky, and what do you think? That symphony had been premiered in the same theatre in 1888 and Tchaikovsky himself conducted it, who has been one of the most recognized composers in history, and was Russian, therefore the public knew very well what we were performing.

El concierto fue incluso más exitoso que el anterior, la atmósfera que se sentía en ese momento era increíble, se me erizaba la piel en muchos pedazos de la sinfonía, fue simplemente uno de los mejores conciertos de mi vida. Al público le encantó.

That concert was even more successful than the previous one, the atmosphere in that moment was unbelievable, my skin stand on end while we played the symphony, it just was one of the best concerts of my life. The public loved it.

Después de eso ya por fin podíamos descansar sin preocupaciones. El día siguiente fue libre, así que aprovechamos y conocimos un poco de la hermosa ciudad. San Petersburgo no tenía tantas decoraciones con luces como Moscú, pero esta ciudad transmitía tan buenas vibras que no podría explicarlo.

After that, finally we could rest without worries. The next day was off, so we went out to see the beautiful city. St. Petersburg did not have so many decorations with lights as Moscow has, but this city transmitted such good vibes that I could not explain.

Me encantaron las matrioshkas, lamentablemente no pude comprar muchas porque los souvenirs allá eran demasiado costosos.

I loved matryoshkas, unfortunately I could not buy many because souvenirs there were too expensive.

Este es uno de los viajes que más he disfrutado, ya que las veces anteriores que viajé era menor de edad y no tenía las mismas libertades para salir a conocer las ciudades. Viajar es una de las mejores partes de ser músico, claro, tienes que prepararte mucho para poder optar a eso, pero todo el es fuerzo vale completamente la pena. ¡Gracias por tomarse el tiempo de mi historia!

This is one of the trips I have enjoyed the most, since the previous trips I had I was a minor, so I did not have the same freedom to go out and see the cities. Traveling is one of the best parts of being a musician, of course, you must practice too hard to be able to opt for this, but all the effort is completely worth it.
