Imagine this…
You’re super pumped. Why? Because you’re at a Justin Bieber concert. The energy is amazing and the emotions you are feeling are out of this world. Suddenly he starts to sing “Baby”.
OMG! You feel like crying.
This moment simply must be remembered. You bust out your #phone to take a #video. Bieber denied!
Apple has patented a technology to disable camera usage at events such as concerts. While it may be absurd to take a video of a concert, (seriously, the video will be awful and you can just go buy a DVD anyway. Don’t live your life through your phone screen) is it a good idea for a #tech company to be exploring the idea of disallowing it. I think not.
For one this #technology could be used for more sinister applications. Examples mentioned in the article are disabling phone cameras during instances of police brutality and/or sociopolitical/religious unrest. Secondly, implementing this would just give consumers yet another reason to choose a competing phone. Sure the Apple die-hards would still buy it, but Apple would definitely lose some market share.
Anyway, back to our story...
You are feeling very depressed. You look around and see a teenage boy that obviously was forced to bring his little sister to the concert. Just then a group of #girls behind you begin flashing the stage. Before you can even look back his way the teenage boy already has his phone out. His face shifts from pure elation to deep sadness when he realizes he can only relive this moment in memory alone.
Keep the cameras running Apple.
What do you think #steemit ?
