Apple's partnership with OpenAI proves that AI is ushering in a data-monetized economy

To call it what it is: data is the new currency!

The advertising industry is set for a major shift, how users will react to this change is only left to be seen.

That said, when dealing with OpenAI, it's hard to imagine that we are dealing with a business concerned with advertising as an end product, especially as a service for public leverage.

However, looking at it from an angle of central monetization, it becomes less difficult to imagine.

The greater access to user data is access to a significant amount of value in a world moving into an age of AI and blockchain technology.

Apple, as many of us know, is an ecosystem on its own with access to vast amounts of user data.

Heck, some months back this was the most valuable company in the world.

Losing that position to Microsoft does not take away the fact that it still captures a vast user ecosystem with data that could be leveraged by third-parties to build value networks or economies.

OpenAI is looking to gain just that with this partnership with Apple!

To have an understanding of what we are dealing with, there are estimately 2.2 billion active Apple devices in the world with over 1.33 billion being Apple's iPhone.

First, we ought to consider that this is a heavily “loyal” market whose data for the most part has been less accessed by competitors, so a hell lot of fresh water for OpenAI to swim in.

According to the reports, the partnership between OpenAI and Apple does not involve direct monetary benefits to either party from the other.

Apple primarily makes this partnership worthwhile for OpenAI through offering up its user base.

To put it plainly: OpenAI is going for the exposure and data(obviously, but this part is denied).

What do we expect right?

It's not news that companies will tell us that our data is not being sold without our consent but we figure out later that we qualify to claim some dollars because our data was being sold.

It's like a: fuck you, we lied, now here's some money to shut the fuck up.

Classic play on human greed, no?

How does this partnership benefit Apple users anyways?

Apple is currently bidding to dominate the abbreviation “AI”.

How?

Well, there's something called “Apple Intelligence” I was told, and in abbreviation, that's AI.

Marketing at its finest, no? Consider also that Apple is big on ignoring the term AI asin Artificial Intelligence, and mostly uses “Machine Learning” to describe things relating to that industry.

It's only now “genius?” to introduce the concept of “Apple Intelligence” to bid for AI domination.

The fun part here is that Apple Intelligence does not exist, what exists is OpenAI with the “intelligence” and Apple with the market of loyal zombies, sorry not sorry Apple users, the last development reveal was simply comical, what do you mean Apple only just released basic customization and the audience is cheering?

You happy to pay extra dollars to move apps around and change colors? That's just stupid, brah!

But that is the scoop, Apple is late to the AI game and now has to partner with leading companies to ensure it doesn't lose its loyal consumer base to them, directly.

Better to sell them out rather than lose the ability to even sell them, amirite?

Sorry, I was supposed to say the benefits of this partnership to Apple users:

Siri Enhancement: ChatGPT will augment Siri's functionality by providing more sophisticated and contextually aware responses. Users can ask Siri complex questions or request assistance with tasks that require a deeper understanding and context, leveraging ChatGPT’s advanced language model capabilities.

Systemwide Writing Tools: Apple’s systemwide Writing Tools on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS will incorporate ChatGPT. This feature will help users generate and refine text, offering suggestions and creating content based on user prompts. It also includes image generation capabilities to complement written content, utilizing OpenAI's image tools.

Benefits to Apple?

The integration aims to make Apple’s devices more intuitive and capable of understanding and responding to user needs. This enhances the overall user experience by providing more powerful tools for communication, creativity, and productivity.

By incorporating one of the most advanced AI models available, Apple strengthens its competitive position in the tech industry. This partnership is a clear move to stay ahead in the AI-driven technology landscape, where personalized and intelligent user interactions are increasingly important.

ChatGPT

And there you have it.

Whether I, Elon Musk and the rest of us like it or not, ChatGPT is powerful, and is going to truly improve Apple's devices but the cost is obviously user data being sold.

I currently use this shit and it is insanely good. All the claims that there are better alternatives are all false, whilst some other offerings may perform better in specific areas, when judging by overall performance, nothing comes close to ChatGPT at the moment, and Apple and Google knows this!
