... I took this photo on our day trip through Dubai desert. It was 40 degrees Celsius at that time and just think about this poor guy for a second. He deserves every penny. Well, @dswigle invited me to participate in this. Hope you like it and learned something new today.
Strangely reminds me of the Southern Spain of my childhood... deserted road, and all of a sudden there's a vegetable stand. No sign of "civilization" within 20 miles...

This really drives home the fact that some of us are really working for their money. I have to wonder where this person's shade is and if they were dropped off in the middle of nowhere or if they have a car somewhere. However come on the other side of the coin oh, what a welcome sight this maybe for someone who is driving along and like one of those mirages you see in a movie, it suddenly appears out of nowhere.
I have to admit that I am tickled pink to see your entry so, not only because you took the time, but because it's very unusual and it speaks of another culture, unknown to many of us westerners. So I want to thank you for taking the time and as always, I wish you a most wonderful day.
#MarketFriday loves you!

I have never been over to that part of the world. Is it true what they say about seriously dry heat not being anywhere near as uncomfortable as tropical? I never really thought much about humidity playing much of a part in temperature-comfort, but ever since i moved just 1000 km north in Thailand I have noticed that although the temp is around the same, the humidity is halved, and therefore I don't suffer the way i did in the south.
