... a class reunion. It was great seeing a lot of familiar faces again, but also meeting lots of new people. What was different this time I think was that we started to understand that we must come together, communicate and work together in order to make things happen. We were focused on getting to know all the teams. This community is truly special and the conference @roelandp puts together each year is a reflection of that.
Hi Uma, I was super impressed by your presentation at Steemfest... I can't think of a single other Dapp that has put more work into the business and marketing side than you guys... all without any help (or communication it sounds like) from Steemit. I've put in an application for an Appics account (Same as here; AussieNinja) and have an android phone... next time you've got an spots open, could I please get a run? Thanks so much!
Congratulations @mrs.steemit! You received a personal award!
Thank you for your participation in the "Meet The Steemians" contest in Kraków. We hope you enjoyed it and made lots of new friends. See you at SteemFest4!
Not sure how else to contact you, but I know scaling is on the mind of Appics' team and a lot of other steemians like myself. :) I wanted to bring vimm.tv to your attention for that purpose. They let you create an instant account and you can stream, chat etc. in a matter of minutes. Basically use the service in its entirety except earning Steem. As they describe it, it's a Steem exclusive offering. Just food for thought, might be a solution for Appics lurking somewhere in there. ;)
I know it's not ideal, but doing initial centralized accounts might be the way to go. And then once someone has brought more value to the ecosystem than it costs to make a Steem account, they could graduate to a VIP status and get their fully decentralized experience and earn tokens for themselves. Before they'd basically be earning to pay for their Steem account. You could present it as a game or smth. to make the experience fun for the end user. I don't know, I'm just brainstorming here, I'm sure there is an alternative solution if the blockchain doesn't evolve fast enough for your needs.
You picture well. lol Congrats on going.
