What is APPICS?

APPICS is a next generation, reward-based social media application with the mission to return the value, created by the time spent in a social network, back to the content creators and the audiences who love them. APPICS is based on a dual-blockchain solution, combining the Steem and EOS blockchains. This allows having the proven posting and reward distribution mechanics from Steem, backed by the EOS blockchain's infrastructure.

New app?

When the major app update comes out which includes the integrated wallet, you will be able to view your APX inside your appics app wallet and most importantly use them as voting power in the network! This update has been tested internally for 2 weeks now and is almost ready to be published.

When the bounty program will finish, in that moment there wiil be a swap from your stakes to APX?

The Bounty program will run until our main launch, to support our marketing campaigns and then will be distributed accordingly. The bounty program is an initative to spread the word about Appics, especially pre-launch. At the moment we are focused on the next update, which will include the integrated wallet and APX as voting power. We are getting closer to the main launch every day and you can be assured that you will receive the tokens from the bounty program in time. Once the Bounty Program ends, the ratio of stakes to APX will be calculated, and bounty APX tokens will then be distributed. However in the meantime, you can simply continue accumulating more stakes through the bounty program and earn tokens directly on the platform.

Why tokens is powered up?

The main purpose of APPICS Tokens is to use them as voting power in the network to increase your voting influence and assign a higher value to other people's posts as well as your own posts.
That's why the tokens were distributed as voting power.
When you participated in our tokensale, you invested in a utility token. And the utility of the APPICS token is to use it as power in the network.
We have the same staking algorithm as on steem, meaning that a power down is completed in a timespan of 13 weeks. This algorithm has been tested and proven effective by steem for the last couple of years.
Of course we appreciate our community holding the APX tokens as voting power in their account to use it within the app.
However if you choose to power down your APX, you can do so in the integrated wallet when the next major update is released.
This means that 7 days after starting the power down, you will receive 1/13 of your staked tokens. So you do not have to wait 13 weeks to receive any liquid APX, you receive 1/13 every week for 13 weeks.
