The video was nice because it started with openness, and that challenging a new learner is not proper. I agree that people should read their scriptures and decipher their personal meaning. I, myself, have read Qur'an, though i don't like it's viciousness, it made me a bit humble and not to believe in superstition. In my opinion, children these days don't read and go on friend's terms rather than themselves or a proper guiding figure (I think it better be somebody else other than parents, like church father, school teachers)
