Racial segregation and white supremacy had become central aspects of South African policy long before apartheid began. The controversial 1913 Land Act, passed three years after South Africa gained its independence, marked the beginning of territorial segregation by forcing black Africans to live in reserves and making it illegal for them to work as sharecroppers. Opponents of the Land Act formed the South African National Native Congress, which would become the African National Congress (ANC).
ANC leader Nelson Mandela, released from prison in February 1990, worked closely with President F.W. de Klerk's government to draw up a new constitution for South Africa. After both sides made concessions, they reached agreement in 1993, and would share the Nobel Peace Prize that year for their efforts.
Apartheid did more harm than good and if care is not taken, the USA will face same problem should Trump become the president of United States which might end up destroying the country's image.
Are you sure? Hillary could be just as bad.
yes you are right but Trump openly spoke against blacks which Hilary never did and as a presidential aspirants such words can lower your votes. Moreover in the US,the blacks have greater percentage in terms of dominance.
I've seen videos of Hillary Showing racism like the one I showed earlier, and of her supporting racists, such as Senator Byrd. But I'm having trouble finding any videos of Trump being racist. Maybe you could post one.
These tells it all that Trump was of too Racist:
1.He condoned the beating of a Black Lives Matter protester
2.He questions whether President Obama was born in the United States
3.He refused to condemn the white supremacists who are campaigning for him
4.The Justice Department sued his company ― twice ― for not renting to black people
5.He attacked Muslim Gold Star parents
These are all facts and can be seen from from this link http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-racist-examples_us_56d47177e4b03260bf777e83
Well, maybe he is racist, but so is she. It goes back as far as her support for Barry Goldwater, The Arizona senator that voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. As for senator Byrd, who she calls her mentor, he not only founded a chapter of the KKK in his state, he also filibustered against the Civil Rights Act for over 14 hours straight.
Trump doesn't have any democratic support in congress and not much republican support, Clinton however has all the democratic support and maybe more republican support than Trump. I ask myself who I would think would be more likely to start apartheid, a racist with nearly no support in congress, or a racist who is just about loved in congress.
I'm not so sure either of them could get anything like apartheid started in the US, there's just too many other things going on around the country and the world.
Perhaps we could agree to disagree.
why doesnt Trump have much Republican support either which shows that in a way rude kind of person.could be autocratic kind of leader.yes surely we could agree to disagree
