RE: The Anthropology of Sex and Gender - Part 1 : Introduction

in #anthropology7 years ago

Nevertheless, it is important to understand that while sex, as a biological phenomenon, may seem straightforward, it is not as simple as it initially appears to be.

yes, it really is. XX and XY. It is that simple.

genetic anomalies count for less than 1% of a population.

"one is not born, but rather, becomes, a woman"

By this, she meant that women are taught how to be women by society in which they live.

No this is not true and many anthropological studies with primates very close to ourselves (chimpanzee and monkey)- exhibit male female traits without any social construct.

While there is a wide variation in gender roles, - generally they are exactly as we thought they were before cultural marxism infested educational establishments....

....and forced children to even think about these issues, - years before they would naturally encounter such questions...

Tantamount to child abuse.

Sex and gender as a 'subject' is looking at the wrong picture completely - It's about the breakdown of family structure...a politically motivated ideology - in the guise of sociology and diversity.

....my opinion...
