What does that mean ?
By trying to contribute, it means that you upvoted with 100 voting strength, even though your vote value is zero. See below the results of 7th April. Some users' vote value is 0 but they upvoted with 100% weight; such users will be sent SBD. Those, whose vote value is zero, and they upvoted with less than 100% weight, will not be sent SBD.

How to be eligible to earn SBD?
- First thing, you should power up whatever Steem/ SBD you have. You should have 50 Steem power at least.
- Second, your voting power should be above 95% at the time of upvoting.
@sbd.giveaway is a volunteer service to support minnows; however, this process should be 2-sided. You should also contribute by your upvote.
You can grow on Steemit only when your vote has value; when you have some influence on Steemit.
When you multiply 0 by any number, you get 0
That rules out most of the users if you check your votes. Many people are low with SP. They will never reach out at that rate as it is. Anyway my vote power is also low so I guess I am out.
I encourage you to increase your Steem power, like I said in the psot; just 50 SP.

Thank you for your comment. Your steem power is lower than 15, therefore your vote has zero value. I suggest to increase your steem power in order to be able to participate.
Participation with zero-value vote is not in the advantage of other voters.
and the reason that participants are getting 0.001 SBD is because of voters who upvote with 0 vote value, while they get the same SBD as those who upvote with more than 0.2 vote value. Please have a look at the link provided. Thanks

This is not negative thinking. And I am no spreading negativity. I am not using steemit campaign in my words. Why are using steemit in your words. you are trying to gain sympathy by adding these words. Ok lets get in to the facts then.
On an average you are getting 100 upvotes per one give away post. and you are getting nearly 0.3 SBD value on an average post. and you are giving 0.001 SBD per upvote. That means you are spending 0.1 SBD on an average post. 33% of SBD per upvotes and 66% you are gaining an an average post. This is not only helping you but helping you promote your own channel. You are promoting your channel for resteem service. on an average every resteemed post also recieving 50% of the upvotes. You are gaining from those as well.
And why are you shilling for upvote percentage now?
So This means you are running a false campaign. So you are not feeling the current income as sufficient. That is why you are talking about upvote percentage.
Don't get into so greedy. If you run this campaign fairly everyone will encourage this campaign, else they will not encourage.
See how @sydesjokes has grown his channel by running the campaign fairly. If you are not feeling the upvote sufficient ask your users to comment something on the giveaway post as well. That will increase the post earnings along with the upvotes. In this way you will can give more payout and your earnings will also increase.

We all have some vote value higher than zero. But it is too small and because of this the steemit doesn't show it. Here information about votes on this post. I don't how steem blockchain actually compute the vote value but it should depends of "weight. There's information about my information.
