Teenagers love blood and gore. When I was 12-15 violence and gore was my favourite thing. It's strange to me to classify violence as something for 18 and up since teenage boys are perfectly fine watching it. Sexual content and actual mature themes are deserving of 18+. Something that has a mentally disturbing torture scene is definitely not appropriate, but regular violence is great.
