A short introduction to anime

Ever heard of anime? I am sure you did at some point. Well, let me make a short introduction about the subject anyway. Anime is a refers to a Japanse animation series. Allot of these series are adapted from Japanse Manga (Not to be confused by the Chinese Manhua) it's like a comic book but, then you read it from right to left and it's mostly in black an white also when it comes out the translation can take some hours to a couple of days depending on how popular it is. Still with me? Okay so far so good. What you need to know about anime is that there is a wild variety of the genres just like with movies. Although anime is mostly animated there are some genres where only half of it is animated and it's mixed with real-life footage or even not at all considering it's also can be 3D.

When you start watching anime you might notice there are a lot of references to Japanse culture and habits. Like the well know sneezing when someone says your name. Our animal's making different sounds then what we're used to. You will also notice that anime can get to extreme subjects like a child's reaction to a death our even adult subjects (Full Metal Alchemist there's a powerful scene with a little girl can't say too much won't spoil you guys.). Like beheadings and full nudity. If you go even further in the anime femdom. There will be a large community waiting for you. Arguing about who is top waifu (It's Kurisu) and the top husbando. This might seem silly to you at the first time but for the people following the shows fanatically it isn't. You can see it a bit like a pop idol and the fandom of it. Just like you would collect items from like say the Beetles and be a hardcore fan of them collecting all their albums and promotion items.

The hardcore anime fan also called Otaku is no different. They collect their favourite figures and worship their favourite anime character as a God. They hold conventions and talk online to other people in the same fandom but, that's enough about the anime fans for now back to anime.

We can see that the time the most of the shows come out follows a seasonal pattern with new releases of the show every week. There can be anime who just has one season usually containing 12 to 14 episodes. To animes who can go one to even over 2 seasons and 100 episodes in total. One of the animes you might hear about (One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ballz and Fairy Tail) do have all have and these and since there really big and have so many episodes we did like to refer them as the big 4.
