First Impression of Erased Manga

in #anime7 years ago

I was at a bookstore sitting next to the manga section, and I decided to browse through it for a couple minutes. I picked this hardcover mange which caught my attention because it is kind of unusual for a manga. Anyways, I sat down and read the first three volumes. I'm just going to shortly going to talk of what my first impression are of the book. I believe it is also anime, so spoiler warning. There is an aspiring manga writer who always goes back in time and minute or two to avert a crisis or dangerous situation. The novel begins by demonstrating how his ability works while introducing the backstory of him living in town that had a series of elementary school children kidnappings. In the end his mother figures out who the real murder is, but does not get to tell anyone since she is murdered before she can. Then the main character uses his abilities to send him-self back in time. He only ever sent himself back in time a couple of minutes, but this time he sent himself all they way back to middle school. The next part of the series is him changing the events and preventing any of the murders from happening. I had a pretty rushed reading of the first 3 books, and this is just kind of a couple main events from the plot. I thought it was pretty different plot. The part where he was changing all the events to prevent the murder did become a little less interesting, but I might check out the anime some time.

Anyone else seen this series?

I've seen the series aswell, but didn't read the manga. Although the pacing was kinda whacky sometime, its conclusion was very satisfying unlike a lot of other anime I've watched.

Second positive comment about it so far

Anime was actually fun, it reminded me Steins Gate.

Might have to take a look at it

you should! it is awesome, but it has a slow start :/
