Good decision to avoid. There are plenty more battle shounen you can watch instead. Bleach is almost as weak as My Hero Academia.

I just wasnt really a fan of the style honestly. I wouldn't call myself the most avid anime watcher, but I definitely know my taste... I wasnt feeling the previews I saw.
I think it would primarily appeal to Japanese teenage boys. It's too Japanese for foreign audiences to really take a liking to it, though it was popular among Western girls because it has lots of bishies for them to draw fanart of.
