Every time I am trying to turn someone who isn't into anime on to it, I explain to them that this is like the Japanese Disney hahah. You can't really miss with Disney. Same with Studio Ghibli. They just create good heartwarming films.... and boom.. I get them to watch anime for the first time AND ITS NOT "Like dragon ball z" Lol
