The assault had some kind of symbolism (although i'm not sure it necessarily had to be like that 💀) but that's the kind of thing i won't defend cause i understand why people would feel triggered about it. it's like araragi assaulting hachikuji yk, there's something behind but it's undeniably weird so i understand. anyway, a single sequence through a 2h movie isn't really a flaw for me as long as it doesn't contradict anything.
but overall i think the movie is still a very well handled mystery case with shiki's conclusion at key and a lot of parallel between this one and the other "study in murder" movie. if you weren't spoiled about it you'd have to wonder what she was doing throughout the movie and that's the main point why this movie is my fav from knk (+ i'm edgy)
about the philosophical aspect, i don't think it felt out of place or sounded too pretentious? i guess that's subjectiveknk 7
anyways, movie 8 was just a clarification of things previously shown implicitly in my opinion, just like zoku owaru yk? they're just expliciting things, so, since i'm a knk goon i gave it an 8 but yeah, not much to say about this movie tbh knk 8
