I read somewhere that this arc will have 50 episodes tho the second half is not gonna come up as soon as the first one ends, the first part is only up to the pontifex and the second half would be more about the dark territory is what I've read.

The first half of this season had more decent fights but what came after are totally lower in quality, I don't know if producing Kaguya-sama at the same time is causing this since the latter has a very smooth and top of the class animation, if not for Mob Psycho I would have called it as this season's best in animation.
