Story
Only one word to describe the story of Neon Genesis Evangelion, complex. Neon Genesis Evangelion is indeed very, very complex even for Fandomnya himself (even up to now, there is still much debate about the story in the anime). In early episodes, maybe this would look like anime anime mecha, against most monsters every week. But, it all changed after Hideako Anno, the film director substitute his story into a psychological issue, and therefore arguably the anime is very complex. Actionnya itself is very thrilling for me, but what I don't understand is the psychological element. Later I will explain at the Character. In this series, there are two different endings, namely Ending TV (Episodes 25 and 26) where on ending it, only contains the thoughts of every character. And the Ending of the film, The End of Evangelion (Episode 25 ° and 26 °) that presents a story that more Action.
Art
For you guys who rarely watch the older anime, it may be considered that the quality of the animation in anime is probably a little bit ugly. But for some people, this looks realistic animation for anime broadcast on 90s. For my own art in animation itself is not too unique, almost the same as the studio most. Hideako Anno did make art on this anime to look for dark lest the equivalent form, and indeed the dark art indeed looks fit well with this anime. When towards the end of the episode, the Studio Gainax get cutting budget and criticism from the producer (TV Tokyo) so that the animation on the revised endingnya depleted shit out, even the story itself changed. Original Endingnya back was appointed The Film The End of Evangelion that animation better than TV Ending.
Sound
Voiced by the MC already fit in with the character of each, but there is one voiced by which I think is lacking in acting, i.e. seiyuu from Ikari Gendou. Why? Because at some scene such as shout etc., somehow the intonation of his voice is just like not yelling. On the DVD version (may apply at includes the BD and TVnya), elements of the Stereo is arguably too heavily. The point is when a character is speaking on the right side of the scene and the character was far from his camera, then his voice was also shipped to the right and shrink, because her character further. It is a little annoying me because every time this happens, I have to reset the volume again. Music own background already match the scene-scene in the anime, and is very helpful in increasing tension in every scene. The Opening song from Neon Genesis Evangelion Cruel Angel's Thesis, A very famous in the 90s because of the catchy songs and tasty vocal, even entered in the article "Top 25 Best Anime Opening Songs of All Time" on the MyAnimeList. and for the song ending himself, Fly Me to the Moon for me very tasty are heard, because the element of swing-jazznya so that it can calm the people after watching this anime.
Character
In Neon Genesis Evangelion, there are 3 main characters Shinji Ikari, namely, Ayanami Rei, Souryuu Asuka Langley and. 3 these characters have different properties as well, e.g. Shinji that looks like depression, Rei is too cold, and Asuka are selfish. My own difficult merelasikan them one with another. During the course of the story, these characters grow increasingly good until midway through the series, where almost all the characters are experiencing depression. Supporting castnya themselves are not too much, but only a few are instrumental in this story.
Enjoyment
Although the story is complex and the quality of the animation is dropping along my own story, went on love with this series. To the extent that I watch Tetralogy of Rebuild of Evangelion (Remake of this anime, later I will review after watching the third film). But maybe some people wouldn't watch this anime because it looks odd. I myself have no plans to rewatch this anime again. This series will always be remembered by me and Evangelion fandom because ending which is absurd. For you guys who like anime Mecha, Psychological, or the Action may be interested in the anime that changed the perception of mecha in the 90s.

Lot thanks for @geekclub for reference for this review. And dont forget to follow him to.
Evangelion and GitS are my favorites. There is even a theory about the Rebuild series being a sequel. You may also find this informative:
And more fun:
The last 2 episodes really helped me expand my mind and mature as a human being. I hated both Asuka and Shinji. I liked Gendo Ikari very much.
Can't wait for the rest. Shin Godzilla was good. But Nowhere near Evangelion level.
