Here we go now for the King of the Jungle, although we are not in the jungle but more in the savannah, it´s just a saying, but definitly this amazing and majestic animal deserves the titel of king. The Lion is one of the big five and we could spot a male on a bit far away, as well a mother with three sibblings running quite next to us through the bush. Because of all that bush it wasn´t easy to get a good view and some clear photos. Still, we saw them and the moments and experience were just awesome!!!

We spend some weeks in South Africa and did nice Safari visits at the national parks in the north and northeast. We went to the popular Krüger Park, but as well to some other private and less visited places like the Blyde River Canyon Reserve, the Crystal Springs Park, the Makobulaan Nature Reserve or Mount Sheba. Here I start with a lidle wildlife collection from the tour. On each chapter you get the best shots from the whole tour through the different parks of a special animal, a the end of the post you can find the links to the other animals .

It must be a thrill to see this animal in the wild. Were you in a car or some kind of bus?
I never had the opportunity to see any... only elephants and hippo's ears (they never got out of the water).
