Snakes are part of our ecosystem, snakes which includes cobra, mamba, vipers, boas, pythons e.t.c. Snakes in Nigeria especially the pythons are in the danger of extinction and strongly need to be saved, snakes add a natural beauty to our environment and the hunger for snake meat especially that of the python may push the innocent creatures to the brink of extinction. Pythons are killed daily for meat by Nigerians and are being posted on popular Nigerian blog daily to celebrate the excitement of eating snake meat, and the Nigerian government pay no attention to such stories. This cruelty have been going on for years if nothing is done future Nigerian generation have to go to the zoo to see a python or travel overseas just to see one.
