I want to share with you one of my rescue stories, the one that has moved me the most. Some puppies we got in a sewer, which I called "my fat children".
One morning very early, my husband told me to go see a girldog that recently gave birth and he found in his morning walk route and he had also begun to feed she. When we arrived at the site we saw the dog with only a puppy.
My husband, who had already seen her knew there were three puppies, so we started looking for them and nothing we could get them, until after a while we heard some faint squeals that came from a sewer that was covered with branches and garbage, right next to where the mother was lying with the remaining puppy.
We went into despair because we did not know how to get them out since it was so deep that our views could not see them. What we did right away was turn on our car and go to the headquarters of the firefighters to ask for help. When we returned to the site, the firemen found a very narrow tanquilla mouth and down the stairs; One of the firemen, the thinnest could get down and rescue the two who turned out to be females with about a month. One of them was smaller and thinner than the other, with one of her feet that was very swollen and ready to burst because of the big infection she had.

From her looks, she had been in the sewer for more days. I wrapped them in a towel and immediately took them to the vet, gave them a good bath and stayed with them. The next day, people who fed the mother, told me that the third puppy, the macho and bigger, had also fallen into the sewer so I had to go back to the firefighters and then I took it to my house so that the three lived together again.
As the months went by they were given up for adoption, two of them (the biggest ones) stayed with the fireman who saved them and the smallest (little girl), with whom I was more fond due to the condition of their leg, went with a very loving family. The mother was sterilized and also got a home.
As is notorious, the dog was sensitive in his leg. Fortunately, the current owners have been so devoted to her that they walk her with a shoe.
