I knew of red pandas and that they were distinct from pandas, but I hadn't realized they more or less inhabit the same regions and even both eat bamboo! China in particular's very invested in protecting the panda, hopefully that spills over into protecting the red panda, too

Saving endangered animals can feel so hard sometimes but it's good to hear that governments (like China, Nepal, etc) and organizations (WWF) are trying to create protected areas for them

I dream of the day when all people value life and nature and accept giving nature its space, in the meantime in I've supported the WWF as they seem to be doing great ground work on this
