I have seen some hyenas in the tsavo east nation Parc in Kenya.
Our tour guide told us, that hyenas are the most socialized animals in the savanna. You should have a look at the story of Abbas, known as the hyena man, who is living in a small village in Ethiopia. Awesome guys and it let you guess, how intelligent hyenas are. If I am not wrong, I think there is even a documentation about it.
