Just wanted to document the eggs our hen, Betty, hatched. We found Betty was being broody and always staying in the nest box so I decided to buy her some fertilised eggs to sit on.
21 days later, EXACTLY, we heard the peeps of newborn chicks! It was such a magical moment even though we couldn't watch them physically coming out of their eggs. Its just crazy how it took some heat and exactly 21 days' worth to bring these pale blue eggs to life!
I've been told these are Cream Legbar chicks and they are autosexed, which means you can tell which ones are male and female when they are chicks. The darker ones with stripes are female and the lighter coloured ones are males.
They've been a lovely addition to our flock and I will continue to document their life!
Stay tuned!
