Thousands, or even millions of living species have disappeared since life began on Earth. While some of these living species encountered human beings, some died before human history. But a great majority of disappearances, especially in recent years, are even done by human beings. The harm we give to nature, the natural arrangements we destroy, the hunting that is illegal and merciless, and the other things that do not end with count. They are all destroying a living species and bringing it closer to destruction.
One of the recent examples of the disappearances caused by humans is the kauai birds ...
The Kauai bird was a special endemic bird species from the Hawaiian Islands to the Kauai island. He takes his name from this region he lives in. The wings and tails of these birds were black and their bodies were lighter shades of lighter color. In the teeth there were white rings surrounding the black feathers in their bodies. Their eyes were yellow and they were about 20 cm long. These birds were fed with small animals and fruits in their natural environment. One of the most important features of these birds was the magnificent songs their spouses told each other. Those songs we can not hear alive again ...
These birds were birds that were already living in a certain area and whose population was not very intense. But humans and other animals brought to the island by humans have caused the numbers of these birds to gradually decrease, and later the tide to disappear. People brought many species to the island such as pigs, mice, flies. These species did not wish to have the natural balance in the island. It caused some diseases to spread in this island. Especially the mosquitoes brought to the island played an important role in the depletion of these birds. This is one of the reasons. Of course, some of the distorted natural balances, global warming, and other causes of people's natural habitat destruction.
The Kauai bird was first observed in 1985 in natural habitats. After that, a male Kauai bird was recorded in 1987. This voice sounded a female wife, a song she told him. But this song did not find an answer. This was his last member and after a while he left the world on this member. So this life is over for the kauai birds.
Recorded in 1987 by a sad songwriter island photographer David Boynton of the Kauai bird.
imagine that you make a call... a call that is never going to be answered. The final sound of your kind is coming out of you ...
