Warning: Giant spider image!
Working in a winery, you can come across some really shady characters! The doors are always open so the chance of outside visitors is high. I was just very thankful in this moment that this not-so-little fella kept his distance. I took my shot and got the hell out of there!
For those of you following my posts, I've chosen to participate in some photography contests that are offered on Steem as well as doing my regular wine blogs! I think it's a great way to connect with other Steemians and branch out to a different group of people. I am doing my best to keep my photos wine related while I'm at it ;)
Thanks for your support <3
Jen

That’s a huge creepy crawly!
OMG >__> take photo and RUN
Hahahahaha is a very big spider but it is not so scary.
Not at all scary. It is a harmless Huntsman spider.
Huntsman spiders might be harmless, but when one lays eggs behind the security alarm sensor in your human's bedroom, and he doesn't notice until they hatch... it's not a lot fun!!
Ah, but that is not the spider it is the alarm that is at issue.
I have fear of spider, this is big :o
WoW! This post even scared @extraterrestrial ! Two thumbs up! Thank you very much for the warning! LOL! All the best my Friends! Your Friend @extraterrestrial :)

That's a big boy. Arachnophobia
You must live in a warm part of Australia to get a nope that big on camera. You should win the photography contest merely for the massive risk you took. People say huntsman spiders aren't dangerous but I swear they're government spies. They're also strong enough to crush your skull, and they'll do it completely unprovoked.
No need for it to be warm. I live in the coldest region and we get the huntsman all the time.

felicidades !!!!
Me too, but things grow bigger in warmer climates. We can get some biggo spooky boys in Tassie though '~'
BTW - loved this. Trying to keep the tourists and immigrants at bay, are you mate? Don't forget to warn them about drop bears and hoop snakes.
very big!
This fellow looks pretty well fed! Great capture!
Good picture that spider scary
Not at all scary. It is a huntsman, and they are quite harmless, not aggressive and non-venomous. I have one that live in my lounge room, somewhere.
I wish you the best! I now that you can win, you have amazing photos, Jen.
Scary, some spiders are very dangerous
But not these ones. Huntsman spiders are pretty harmless and will not attack people for no reason. If you go provoking it, you might cop a nip, but it is similar to a bee sting.
i enjoy your post! thanks
Aw nice picture, good luck!!
That is just a little tacker. Huntsman get bigger than that. No reason to run though, it is not interested in harming you and you are more likely to do yourself harm through fear, not understanding. These fellas are welcome on my walls anytime, in fact, I have one lurking somewhere at the moment. They look pretty fearsome, but are in fact totally harmless. It is the small ones you have to be concerned about, like redbacks.
That is a whole lotta NOPE!

They REALLY are not scary nor harmful. This is my lounge room pet.
I wish people would include little facts like THEY ARE HARMLESS when posting about the majority of spiders and snakes, as much needless fear and a great deal of misunderstanding is prevented. There is no need to run, they will not chase you, thre is no need to kill them, they will not harm you. If you just admire them, leave them alone and get on with life, so will they.
A little note with the harmful ones would be more helpful than the needless clickbaiting fear generating sensationalist titles.
Your post is so creepy!! But I like it! hahaha Please, Follow me!
Wow you're brave for taking that photo! I'd just run out of there as fast as I can before getting a heart attack. Huge spider
Is that a wolf spider? It's huge. Where was this taken?
Omg iys really big
Omg!!! Scary...
Uahahah, Is it canadian spider?! ;> And which wine is best under the sun? According to you? :)
I like spiders
It is not important whether it is huge or tiny the thrilling thing is that this creature can jump, spit with poisonous spittle, sting… it’s not all: come over you in your bed as well
