His name is actually the Ugly One. he was the tabby of the litter and his brother (Adolf) and sister (Princess) were long haired black white and ginger. Absolutely beautiful kittens. My daughter liked Ugly best and would ask to pat the Ugly One. So the name stuck. He is a real cutie though.
When it came time to re-home the kittens, my dog Poppy, who had adopted Ugly, (to the chagrin of the mother cat, Pounce, who unfortunately is no longer with us) freaked out and I had to keep him. Poppy and he are still great friends and sleep together, play and clean each other.
In 1888, more than 300,000 mummified cats were found an Egyptian cemetery. They were stripped of their wrappings and carted off to be used by farmers in England and the U.S. for fertilizer.
hahahaha cute! its like what my cat does but on concrete
My dog does the same thing. The way it works for us though is she usually rolls in something smelly. Very cute pictures. -@bozz
Oh, yeah. I have a couple of dogs that like smelly too!
The kitten is really cute but why is his name Ugly Cat?

He is a really cool cat.
What a fascinating story ! I find it really funny and interesting how he got his name.
It's really cute when dogs and cats understand each other
They are really funny together. Closer than she is with the other dogs.
Haha! I like Ugly Cat. ♥

Were they used to fertilise Pussy WIllows and Catnip?
That is actually terrible that an archeological find like that could be so readily and easily disposed of.
Cats make about 100 different sounds. Dogs make only about 10.
