Th blue tongue and shingle backs are larger varieties.

These lizards drop their tails if threatened and it wriggles and squirms whilst the lizard escapes the predator. They then grow their tail back over a period of skin sheds. Amazing little lizards, and the bluies and shinglebacks are great pets.

The 5 lined Skink and the Prairie Skink both live in Wisconsin. I have seen them, but not recently. I had forgotten about their tales! That is pretty cool!
