Jalak Bali (Leucopsar rothschildi) is a kind of medium-sized chirping bird, with a length of approximately 25cm , of the Sturnidae tribe. He was also recognized as Curik rather than Starling. Bali starlings are found only in the western forests of Bali Island and are endemic to Indonesian animals. This bird is also the only endemic species of Bali and in 1991 was crowned as the symbol of fauna of Bali Province.
The Balinese starlings were first discovered in 1910. The Balinese Balinese scientific name is named after British animal expert Walter Rothschild, the first person to describe this species to the world of knowledge in 1912.
The original name of this bird is bali bali. However, the public more familiar with the title Bali Starling. This bird has a size of approximately 25 centimeters, black wings and white fur. The beautiful chirping and eye-catching color make this bird the target of collectors. Its beak is sharp, blackish-gray with the tip of the brown beak, making it look more fierce but beautiful. The bright blue color of the eye looks striking.
The number of thin and diminished to make these animals quite rare. Around 1910, the number is estimated to reach 900 tails in Bali. In 1990, the number dropped dramatically to 15 tails. In 2005, the study found that there were only 5 live; consequently, the government immediately took the initiative to prevent its extinction. In 2008, it is estimated that the number of re-increased to 50 tail after being maintained in West Bali National Park. It is very unfortunate and very unfortunate if this beautiful animal is extinct.
