Critter Cafe pt 2

Thanks for all the upvotes folks, I'm still learning what's what around here -- but apparently I earned $11 somehow....haha cool, this place is great.

Back to the adventure..

After cleaning out my pantry, I needed to hit the grocery store. But this time I was keeping an eye open for cheap stuff I could throw out in my yard. I found this, along with some other seeds/nuts/dried insects-type feed:

In Louisville, where I live, this feed mix is about $5 for a 5lb bag. And the animals have consistently upvoted it...it goes fast. We tried some other options that were more expensive, but none of it gets them hopping like this particular mix of corn, sunflower seeds, unshelled peanuts and safflower. Blue jays make a beeline for the peanuts everytime -- they gobble them down, shells and all. Crazy to watch a little bird devour a whole peanut.

So every week or so I've bought a few bags of this, just to see which animals showed up to eat on a regular basis -- and how they'd all interact. Yeah I know, kind of nerdy. But fun at the same time. And luckily, I figured, the only dangerous or predatory animals where I live are occasional coyotes, and the rare copperhead snake.

But I forgot about other types of animals, that maybe weren't so fun or interesting to watch.....

That's Stu, and he's very shy. We've only seen him a couple of times (luckily). He seems to have an unwritten understanding with the other animals.

I gotta run, and I'm not sure how to save a draft. So I'll try to finish this post later, if it will let me.
