Hare

in #animal2 years ago (edited)

Hares are a type of mammal that is closely related to rabbits. They are larger than rabbits and have longer legs. Hares are also known for their long ears and for being very fast runners.

The hare is a member of the family Leporidae, which includes rabbits and pikas. Hares are larger than rabbits, with longer hind legs and ears, and they typically live in more open habitats.
The hare's history is closely linked with that of the rabbit. Both animals are believed to have originated in Africa, and they spread to other parts of the world through human colonization. Hares were introduced to Europe in the Middle Ages, and they quickly became popular game animals. Today, hares are found on every continent except Antarctica.
