Mosul has been held by the terrorist group ISIS but due to recent bombardment of the group by combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve (JTFOIR), the terrorist group have been significantly subdued. 
Lt. Gen Stephen Townsend, the Coalition commander also commended the Iraqi forces on their remarkable efforts on defeating ISIS while safeguarding innocent citizens' lives and properties.
