Measuring 70 cm, the footprints belonging to one type of dinosaur is still being investigated in order to reveal the evolution of the largest animal that ever existed on Earth.
When discussing about this ancient creature is certainly very attractive to many people. Especially if not the ancient dinosaur animals that are very unique and mysterious. Although many fossils are found but their own existence is a mystery to this day.
Like the rare footprints of dinosaurs recently discovered in Scotland that are thought to be 170 years old. With the discovery of the trail, the researchers hope to answer the puzzle about the evolution that occurred in the largest animal that allegedly ever roamed the Planet Earth.
These dozens of footprints are precisely found in a shallow mud lake on the Isle of Skye. Most of the footprints are footprints of Tyrannosaurus's "old cousin" called Theropoda.
Theropoda itself is one group of dinosaurs that reach two meters high. In addition, this animal also has a long neck size that is almost the size of the type Sauropoda.

The trail found in Scotland is a second dinosaur trace found on Skye. The first discovery occurred in 2015, although recent discoveries were found in older rocks.
This finding is considered important because it is a rare proof of the Middle Jurassic period. Dr Steve Brusatte from the University of Edinburgh stated that his team managed to find two different types of dinosaur traces. He also gave an explanation of the discovery of the traces in a shallow lake in Scotland.
"The more we see the Isle of Skye, the more dinosaur footprints we can find,"explains Dr. Steve.
The researchers also measured, photographed and analyzed about 50 footprints in tidal areas on a dramatic headland on the Totternish peninsula on Skye. The largest trace measuring 70 cm left by Sauropoda. While the largest traces left by Theropoda is 50cm.
The new site lists two different types of dinosaurs, the cousin of the long neck of Brontosaurus and the cousin of the sharp canine T-rex. They roam around a shallow lagoon as Scotland is much warmer and dinosaurs begin their journey toward global dominance.
Tidal conditions make research into these great traces to be difficult. However, researchers still managed to identify two footprints from many still isolated footprints. We hope with the discovery of these footprints will be a clue to be able to uncover the true mystery of the existence of dinosaurs. Hopefully!
