Agreed. But I still fail to see what is the alternative you are proposing.

I'm not proposing an alternative, I'm not a central planner. That's what government does and we can all see how well that's going.

There are books written about alternatives.
But it's not important what other people have thought out.
The first thing that's important i.m.h.o. is that someone asks themselves the question. Well if there was no government, how would I/we do things. How could things be organized.
I was brought up, like everybody else, to stay a child, to never become an adult, daddy and mommy where replaced by daddy and mommy government to "protect"and "take care" of me. But these "parent" are very controlling the will never let you grow up. Everything is taken out of your hands, you do not have to think you just have to obey. And if you try to get away then fear is used to get you to run back to daddy/mommy Government.

For me it's not good enough, it's not that I, per sé, rebel against government, It's that I try to get out of the house of my "parents" (government) and become an adult. Find my own way, and build a new way of live to free myself and take responsibility for my own live and the live of the people around me.

And it all started with thinking for myself.

Edit: Blind obedience into which we are indoctrinated, is i.m.o. the problem that's why thinking for yourself about good or bad and act accordingly is so important.

May I ask where are you from?

Yes you may................................................
No joke... I'm Dutch but live in Germany.
May I ask Why you ask?

edit; That is if you believe in countries. Country's are lines on a piece of paper where a group of people with guns claim to own everybody en everything within those imaginary lines.

Well, it's just that I think that part of the problem is that many of the states that exist today are the artificial result of all kinds of arrangements between former colinalist powers. But if you're Dutch then you are actually from one of the few "genuine" states...

The problem is groupthink and state's are groupthink, just like religions are, statism is a religion too.

This is the conclusion I have reached. We can say "government" but then we have to ask ourselves...well..who makes up the government? People...regular people like you and me. So then you have to ask yourself...Why would people decide to do these barbaric acts and why do other human's join such acts?

At the end of the day it all comes back to people. Why do people commit these barbaric acts?

Regular people my arse.

What would you call them then? What do you call the sons of a country that go off to war in far away lands to invade another people? What do you call the people who support such actions? What do you call the mothers of the those people whose sons committed violence against another?

What do you call the scientist who works at Monsanto? What do you call the board members? What do you call the populace who supported the Nazi regime?

Indoctrinated.

Agreed, but they are still people like you and me wouldn't you say?

What do you want, are you trying to persuade me away from anarchism?
