How to fix every problem in the world.

There are many problems in this world. Fortunately, there is one simple solution to them all. I know this sounds like a bold statement but I'm certain. There is no reason to doubt this solution, just hear me out.

One big problem is that there are bad people in the world. So, we need to make sure that they don't do evil things. At the very least we need to punish bad people for doing evil. Another problem is that some people are poor. There is also the problem of oppression. Then there's the fact that some people have less wealth than other people and this can feel very unfair. There are people out there that commit fraud and act in a deceitful manner. Some people print counterfeit money and that is immoral and needs to be punished. Guns can be used to kill people, so obviously we need to get rid of guns. The economy is unstable and economic crashes ruin peoples lives.

Some people have better parents than other people. Some children aren't given a good education. Some people say things that offend some other people. I could go on and on but you get it, lots of problems. Now, on to the solution to these and the rest of the problems in the world.

We should have a system that can fix all the problems. This system is built on one fundamental idea. The idea is that we divide society into two main groups. Us and them. We should grant them an exemption from morality. They should have a monopoly on force. We should let them make up all the rules that we have to follow. They should be allowed to make up different rules for themselves. And if anyone brakes any rules they should be the judge so that justice can be served. So, if we brake the rules, they investigate and punish us, if they find us guilty. On the other hand, if they brake the rules, they will conduct an internal investigation and punish themselves, if they find themselves guilty.

They can prevent evil people from doing evil by using evil methods. They can eliminate all unfair differences between individuals and different groups. They can regulate every aspect of life and prevent fraud and harm. They can centrally plan everyone's lives and the economy. They can spy on everyone so that we feel constantly watched and won't dare to break the rules or question anything. They can school our children and teach children to respect them and depend upon them. They can tell our children what the world is like and who the bad people are. We humans are too stupid to know what's in our best interest anyway. We are reckless and dangerous so we need to be saved from ourselves. We also need to be kept safe from all the evil people that could harm us, so this justifies giving a group of people an exemption from morality.

The group that we give an exemption from morality to will be made up of the wisest, smartest, most caring elite. They will be better than the rest of us. They won't have any needs or wants of their own, they will be flawless. Not a smidge of potential for evil or corruption will reside in their hearts. They will not have any desire to wield power. Instead, they will begrudgingly take on the responsibility of leading us because they care about us and not about themselves.

To finance this group's activities, we should allow them to extort us. If we refuse to be extorted, we should give them the right to kidnap us and lock us in a cage. If we resist when they try to kidnap us, we should give them the right to escalate violence until we do what they say. We should give them the right to escalate to deadly force so that they can shoot us if we don't comply with their demands.

This will also allow for other ways of financing. Because we can't refuse being extorted they have a very stable source of income. This will allow them to issue bonds that pay interest to investors who buy the bonds. These bonds are an effective way for them to borrow money from investors. And the investors are happy too because it's such a safe investment.

The third way of financing will be achieved by them taking full control of the production of money. They can ban all other forms of money and force us to use their centrally controlled form of money. So if they need more money, to solve problems and help oppressed groups, they can simply type any amount into a computer and increase their balance. It will be like digital counterfeiting but unlike counterfeiting, you can't spot the fake currency units. Or you could say that they are all fake.

There are some limitations to this. Let's say they increased the number of currency units by 100% over a short period of time and spent all that money. That would make all the prices double, everything else equal. So all the people that had money saved would lose half their purchasing power. On the other hand, everyone that was in debt would in effect owe half as much. Not nominally of course but counted in purchasing power. So if they issued a lot of bonds and had a huge debt, it could actually work in their favor to increase the money supply.

Now, you might think that this one solution to all of the problems in this complex world seems too easy, not thought through properly. You might be thinking that this seems unfair? Maybe you are thinking that they could in some ways abuse their power? Surely they must be held accountable in some way? Well, don't worry! I thought about that already. What we will do is this, we can all vote in elections every 4th year. And anyone in society can run to be part of the group that is exempted from morality. In fact, some of the people don't have to win elections they just need to get hired by the elected people to enforce the rules or to go murder people and blow stuff up in other societies.

If I still haven't convinced you how wonderful and smart this system is, I hesitate to even write this, I mean how could you not be convinced? Anyway, if you think there are better solutions to the world's problems than the system I'm proposing I'd like to hear you describe it. Good luck with that!
