Solar Panels and Economic Ignorance

in #anarchy7 years ago

Too many Americans are cheering for their own subjugation and robbery after Trump announced imposing higher "tariffs" (a euphemism for armed robbery) on foreign-made solar panels. On the bright side, this gives a fine opportunity for a lesson in basic economics.

(As an aside, this is my first video posted only on Dtube, and not on YouGetCensoredTube.)

He did say he was going to build a wall.... Thank you for pointing out the flaw in limiting trade. This is one of the reasons I am such a fan of the cryptosphere and see how tokens and the blockchain can make it to where fiat is a thing of that past along with the silly goobermints that printed it.... I am done playing monopoly with them... This wall too shall fall...
Gasholes enjoy profiting from our energy... it is time we take our energy back. Soon all of this will be a mute point and just a silly thing from history...

Well put! I personally don't shop in supermarkets as I think its crap food mainly and would rather get organic local (when possible) produce. This is mainly for sustainability and health reasons.

Some chains are ok but as you pointed out if they did not have their corporate/government friends making things cheaper for them then the local shops would be able to get product from cheaper sources. Kinda what you said.

On a secondary note I wish we could get solar in the UK. Well we can but you HAVE to connect it to the main grid which means the grid get the power. So if there is a fault on the grid you still don't get power even though you produce your own, bonkers! So it doesn't matter how cheap they are here!

It's the same here in America smh

Madness I want to get some an fit it on the sly out the back where it can't be seen 💯🐒

EXACTLY

I have a L O N G history in "Green energy" as my father worked in this industry for almost 20 years, and I spent 20 years listening to him rant about the bullshit of world governments and their agendas that are NOT interested in "green energy" and only speak hypocritical words to appease the masses.

What most North Americans do not know is that many other countries- Norway in particular- have created solar panels that W A Y outstrip anything produced in America or Canada- not only in "power" but in longevity and capabilities. Why are these excellent products not allowed in the US? Because they are TOO* good!! The US (and Canada) do not want people to have access to equipment that can actually take them "off grid" and not only save them money on their power bills, but MAKE money by feeding energy back into the "grid". This is the bullshit double talk of politicians everywhere (not just Trump- believe me!!) who are no more than shills for the Big Energy companies.

I appreciate this post, and also i like dtube channel...best of luck dear,,,,

His action made it clear that he always defend american workers, farmer, and bussiness in this reward, but not everyone aggres the move will work in favors for americans

Isolationism never works in favor of the customer. It works in favor of businesses who can't compete, and politicians. That's about it.

Awesome. I tried downloading video but my network is bad.maybe I will try watching it later

Thank you for this awesome basic and easy to understand explanation.
But I fear that the people who need this knowledge will not even hear about this video.

We had our solar installed 2 years ago. It's proven to be one of our best investment thus far.

Pfft, politics.

LR on Dtube is wonderful news. Hooray!

Renogy makes solar panels in the USA .. https://www.renogy.com/about-us/ Support your neighbor! China subsidizes the price of their solar panels so they can flood the USA with cheap panels to crush USA manufacturing of solar panels, and their workers in China don't get a fair wage out of it. Renogy makes great solar panels, I have six of them, will be getting another four. Have a nice day :)

Here's an idea: How about you decide where to spend your money, and let other people decide where to spend theirs?

Throw stuff over the wall every chance you get.
Get away from the "Dollar" too when possible.

Woohoo we got a steemit exclusive. However, I think that you are preaching to the choir. I would bet that 90% of the types of people that see the benefits of a social network like steemit have a pretty good understanding Austrian economics. I highly recommend to post this video on the youidiottube networks as well. Thanks for thinking of us though. Uv & Rs

Well, I'm also thinking that once the videos are on Dtube, I can post links to them, to both share the videos AND bring more new people to Dtube.

Great idea, thanks.

Lol! The liberals will throw a fit about Trump doing it, never admitting that Obama did it first... It is "divide and conquer" raised to a bizarre art form. (Not accusing Larken of being liberal, I suspect he said the same thing when Obama did it.)

Yeah, I bash all the puppets for all of their various authoritarian collectivist agendas. I'm an equal-opportunity parasite-basher.

Cheers to that!

The most logical thing that they can do is Laissez Faire... Get out of the way!
The ones that mostly damaged by this regulation are libertarians. As a libertarian I know that I certainly want to disconnect from my energy provider with solar panels.

I'll just drop this right here...

Thank you Bastiat.

A nation imports to export, we are being 'led' by overlords that know this to be true, this is designed collapse.

Once we ditch the programming and focus on how we would individually treat others (and their wares) the correct approach to even the 'dismal science' (economics) starts to become clear.
