As a voluntaryist, I'm often confronted by people who reject the notion that taxation is theft. The arguments that they make are usually the same, be it 'it's not theft because you get something for it' or 'it's not theft because we have democracy' so I decided to sit down and respond to a couple of the arguments and then turn my hand to playing devil's advocate and making the best case I can for taxation not being theft using the non aggression principle as my basis.
