RE: Hive Post Deleted - I No Longer Support This Blockchain

I love your thoughts on land ownership and agree on so many levels, I struggle though, dont I have the right to create my own working homestead? To sustain myself from the land? Without land ownership, and one mixes their labor with the land, cant anyone come take it and destroy my ability to survive and thrive? My first activism was environmental and animal rights, your post hits close to home and has me really thinking. Thabks for writing this, and for being you. I am definitely a label-less anarchist..

I believe in stewardship of land, in living on/with the land for sure. I disagree with the very concept of "ownership", even in general since we don't even own our body, we're simply using it for a few decades, before it goes back to the Earth, its true owner.

But assuming humans can own their creator/mother/source...
In most anarchist models, the agreement/social norm is that land that has been homesteaded is not something that can be taken by others. One of the big issues I don't see capitalism ever dealing with is how do you stop psychopaths from taking all the land? If someone hires a bunch of laborers, puts them on a ship and goes to an unpopulated (by humans) island, and "mixes labor" with enough pieces of that island, then it is now forever owned by that person, according to original appropriation. If the rule is that anything you "mix labor" with one time is now yours forever, then people like Johnny Appleseed end up owning the entire world.
