I do agree with most of these very good points, however the title throws me off a bit as I don't see that 'we' have agreed anything as a society; unless perhaps in an inadvertent way by not resisting what the govn't does on our behalf.(as if that even applies anymore and I don't see that it does)

I see this as an outright imposition, not an agreement.
