Inspired by something Larken Rose said in the video (about how in a free society you don't always get what you want, and about the example of all his neighbors deciding to sell all their property to people of an opposing ideology), then what if this happens: a group of individuals decide to follow this thing called democracy/government/capitalism/communism/whatever, and make no allowances for people who disagree with them, i.e. an anarchist will have no choice but to live in that system despite his own freely chosen values. Then that's a scenario in which a society is (a) free, (b) you don't get what you want. That's society right now! You could argue against the correctness of premise (a), but I think people are more brainwashed than acting out of fear or force. When you mention anarchism to most people, and see their reaction, I don't think they're thinking "oh I better rail against anarchism cos otherwise the Government's gonna get me". I think they actually believe in the system in which they happen to live. So I don't know, just thought that's an interesting note or spin on Rose's comment.
