In reality, very few people actually consent to government, but they do accept it as not feasible to overthrow.

If we could somehow overthrow the existing government in most nations, it would leave a power vacuum which would be filled by some other party - that other party becoming a new government, and in all probability a much worse one.

This is why while I sympathise with the ideals of anarchism, I find it to be not feasible in reality.
