King Kyansitha ascended the throne in 1084AD. When he built Shwezigon Pagoda

that was built by King Anawrahta. It will be

good if a Discrete Pagoda ws built under my reign. King Kyansitha addresses formally to the Noble Monks to implement

what he desires. He asked the distinguished architects to replicate in order to built Kaunghmudaw Pagoda with

the form of Nandarmulaumin shown by the

Power of Noble Monks. Sakka selected the

place where the Pogada was to be built to

fulfill the desire of King Kyansitha Ananda

Temple was built in 452ERA. Dasadayaw

Giant and Alarwaka Giant asked the disciples to carry the stone. Yakhi Giant

carried the sand from Gandamar mountain

and Bawdi and then Plastered with the water of Thida River. The pictures of Buddha's Life Cycle Were Casted in Gold

and seven Relics of Buddha Were Enshrined. The Statue of Kyansitha was placed in the four Cardinal points of the

compass. The architecture and inscription

of Ananda Temple was not comparable.

There is a saying that volume in Dhamayan,

hight in Savanyu and architect in Ananda.

Ananda Temple Pwe is held on the Full-

Moon day's of Pyartho month yearly.The

crowds in the vicinity come by the carts and make a devotional offerings.
