Legendary journalist Larry King, who runs the American TV and radio station, was defeated in a nearly three-week battle with the epidemic corona virus.
He died Saturday (January 23rd) while undergoing treatment at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Ora Media, a media company founded by Larry King, confirmed the news of his death in a tweet on Twitter.
"We are deeply saddened to have lost our co-founder, organizer and friend Larry King," they wrote.
In the first week of January, the legendary journalist was hospitalized with corona. In addition to King's type 2 diabetes, he had several heart attacks and underwent bypass surgery in 1986.
In 2016, King was diagnosed with lung cancer. He had an operation at that time. Considering his physical condition, he set up the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, a charity.
He hosted CNN's Larry King Live for 25 years. At that time, his program was attended by famous people including presidential candidates, stars and players.
