Hello, dear network, as promised. Here is the 2nd part of our adventure in El Nevado del Ruiz. I was telling you that after coming down we had breakfast in Laguna Negra, then we went to Termales de la Gruta. But let's go into detail and show a little more.
After descending, we drank red wine as a group. We met up with Mary and the rest. Evidently, we laughed about everything, my falls, David's fall, and Laura's mud-skating exhibition. In other words, we had a great time upstairs. It was already 9:00 am and we were a bit hungry, so we decided to have breakfast at Laguna Negra, an obligatory stop for those who decide to visit the area. So we started to go down, on the way, we talked and took some pictures.
The scenery is extraordinary, everything is magical and the people are super friendly and cordial. Upon arrival, we immediately went to breakfast, a typical hot meal of the region. Everything is delicious and the service is excellent. Eating at an altitude of 3,700 meters is something unique, the truth is that it is cool. We took some pictures of the area and the classic photo with the lagoon in the background with its mountains. It is worth going to!
At the end of our stop, we immediately went to Termales de la Gruta, the trip was a little more than 15 or 20 minutes. It was still foggy and quite cold, a beautiful area for its mountains and hot springs in the middle of a kind of valley, something hidden where you can stay and camp from one day to another with the condition that you must be before 11:00 am to do so because the change of "cabin" is done at that time. If you arrive after 11:00 am it is difficult to get access to stay. But I imagine being there at night and bathing in the hot springs must be extraordinary. So I leave you as a tip. There they lend gas pipette for cooking, you can make barbecues and they sell panela water with cheese which is delicious. The entrance fee is only $10,000 per person but you must go in your car because there is no public transportation to get to the area, we are talking about 3,000 meters high, be careful with that.
There we were resting inside the hot springs Laura, David, Gio, Bryan, and me for about 3 hours and a half. The relaxation is the best, but the temperature change when you take out half your body or get out is tremendous. I would still go again without hesitation, the experience is energizing and revitalizing. My wrists and knees were very grateful, so it was healing for me the rest.
Then we decided to go down to Manizales, we went to Gio's house and there we ordered food and had lunch while laughing about the experience. I tell you that everything is worth it, going to the Nevado changes you forever, and see what I show you will change you too. My happiness was complete, I love nature so much. So come.

Oh wow, those hot springs look so amazing! It's so cold where I am right now, so the idea of hot sauna and bath sounds just delicious. Looks like a really great trip! Can I recommend the Travel Feed community? I'm sure they'd love this post!
Of course, that's fine with me. And yes, the idea of this adventure is precisely to live it in all its splendor, nature is extraordinary. Thanks for reading and recommending. Best regards.
