My free investment advise of the day.

in #altcoin7 years ago

Dear fellow steemers,

It was sep/ 2014 when bitcoin was around 100$, I decided to have a go at the crypto market and put 10k euro of my hard earned money into bitcoin.... pretty much half of what I owned.
I was following the waves and slightly nervous about the volatility of Bitcoin eventually making my 10k into 17k$.
Then on my birday bitcoin was around 100$ again and decided for some reason not to invest.
Following day bitcoin went to 150$ and that was obviously way to expensive so decided not to invest....
Well from that point onwards bitcoin went pretty much in a straight line towards 1250$ and I was just looking at it as I just couldn't find the guts to step in higher than 100$

Then I decided I missed the boat and had a look at litecoin and name coin... well to cut a long story short I managed to
jump on the first litecoin hype which went from 10$ at the time all the way to 47$ ( i also doubled my money through namecoin)
Making my 10k into 90k$ I then had a long think and decided I would leave my money in because I wasn't going to make the same mistake again by missing a further rise.
Litecoin was looking to follow bitcoins footsteps. Unfortunately a week or 2 later I woke up to a nightmare as the chinese decided to pull out and when I looked at the graph i panic sold at exactly 10$. Basically not losing anything apart from my good mood. Biggest lesson learned make sure you cash out your initially sum so that you don't have to panic sell..... I learned this the hard way, basically being to greedy.

After this malarke, I then stuck my money into mooncoins which I bought at 8 satoshi (just before it moved to cryptsy) this went up to 37 quickly and again left my money in until a whale decided to sell everything off to the ground. I decided to leave the crypto world for a bit.

I have just started to come back into crypto again as I do miss the feeling of being part of this hype (nothing feels better than seeing your money grow at such a fast rate) and decided to have a look around new altcoins that have good potential and a strong dev team behind it.
I like to go for max potential and enjoy being part of something new which you can see grow over the years.
As you can read above I am not the best investor but generally my gut feeling is pretty good in terms of coins.

My decision has fallen on :

sumo coin and ubq coin... both are very new and one is a good fork of ETH the other is a fork of Monero.
So have a look at them and let me know what you think. Perhaps you agree or disagree, would love to hear your opinions

Ok, I'll trust your judgement and look up sumo and ubiq. Thanks for the advice!

Hi Elaine,
How are you doing? Any coins you have come across that are of interest?
I am working on a spreadsheet to make a top50 list of altcoins and compare them.

I shall be interested to read that! Ive been struggling to even make a wallet for ether! Not sure that I will ever be ableto get my coins out again if i manage to put some in it!

y sumo very speculative so be careful :)

I just recently started mining altcoins and have been trying to keep up with the all the recent trends and forecasts. Currently, I just run a single gtx 1070, but got it pulling 28.5 MHS so have been looking for a easily mined currency and that is when I found out about Ubiq, which at 28 MHS is currently about 1.7 coins per day. I found this youtube video that is a great analysis on Ubiq.

The term that sticks out most to me in that video is what he calls "crypto-assests". Which really resonates with me since I see more value in cryptos that focus on services/function than strictly just a currency. When it comes to Ubiq, that seems like something that could really take off if they play their cards right, especially once ETH moves to PoS.

With the current market rate of about $2, for me personally, now seems like a great time to invest/mine. Obviously, this is very much a gamble at this point, but as long as you aren't putting all your eggs in one basket or going for broke then I think it could really pay off. Maybe not in the near term but definitely within the next couple years.

If you are at all interested in mining, I would also suggest giving this youtube channel a look. He is also on Steem as well, @tplusd.

Thx for the advice on mining, I have two 7950 and 2 r9 290 sold the rest two hears ago, but I will probably fire those up, and will have a look at your youtube links. Is there a good mining calculator, electricity is quite expensive in my country.
