Hi IamAlive Community,

Today I want to share some typical traditional Indian food with you all.
The first one is a (methi) Thepla dish. Made with
Faintly bitter, and wonderfully spiced methi thepla are savory flatbreads that are delicious to enjoy as a delicious snack any time of the day. On the side of it there is a Indian pickle. It is a mustard-cured Indian pickle known as achar, or simply “pickle.”

The second one (which is my favorite) is the traditional Indian tea which is called (Masala) Chai tea. Chai is the Pakistani, Indian, Afghan, Iranian, Armenian, Russian, Albanian, Romanian, Turkish and Arabic word for tea, among others. In Dutch, in my case here in Suriname,it is usually used to indicate a spicy Indian herbal tea, or Afghan green tea. Very important note: There is no set chai mixture for the Indian tea.

The third one is the Uttapam. This traditional dish can be found in the south of India. Uttapam or Uthappam is a delicious South Indian tiffin breakfast of thick pancakes made with pre boiled rice and lentils which are soaked overnight and then made into a delicious butter. It is a popular and healthy breakfast choice in the Indian culture.

I am alive today because I got to know all these amazing Indian traditions that amazes me each time I try them. The typical traditional Indian food is without a doubt filled with rice flavors and spices. If I ever get the chance to visit India these will be the first dishes I’ll have on the spot 😋!
